Sunderland’s Lee Cattermole and Bryan Oviedo have been linked with a departure from Wearside this summer.

Sunderland remain unbeaten in League One this season, and key to their good form has been Lee Cattermole and Bryan Oviedo.
Both men, who are well paid by League One standards, were linked with a move away from the Black Cats earlier this summer.
After some outstanding performances from the duo recently, however, George Honeyman (in an interview with the Northern Echo) has stated that the whole Sunderland squad want the pair to stay.
Speaking about Cattermole and Oviedo, Honeyman said: “We’ve got a young team so it’s invaluable having lads like that around us.
“We obviously don’t know what’s going to happen with the loan window shutting at the end of the week, but if you ask anyone in the squad, they’d all say we’d be absolutely delighted for them to stay.” Honeyman added.

Honeyman was named Sunderland captain a few days prior to the start of the League One campaign, and he is flourishing in the third tier.
Cattermole was introduced back into the squad for the Carabao Cup game against Sheffield Wednesday, but impressed the most in a recent win against AFC Wimbledon – where he scored two goals.
Oviedo has also made a big impact from his full-back position, particularly in attack – and already has two assists to his name.
