Sunderland are currently heavily reliant on youngster Josh Maja to score goals in League One.

Sunderland are two games into their League One season, but with a long injury list the Black Cats are heavily reliant on 19-year-old Josh Maja to score their goals.
And Jack Ross has expressed his desire to explore the loan window in order to bolster Sunderland’s current lack of attacking options.
However, if the Wearside team don’t bring in a striker before the loan window ends at the end of August, it wouldn’t be a disaster for Ross’s men.
Young forward Maja has started the season extremely positively with two goals in two games, whilst hitting the target with all three of his shots across the two games.
And with Ross revealing new signing Charlie Wyke isn’t far away from a return to the pitch, it won’t be long before the Black Cats have options from the bench from an attacking point of view.
Sunderland also have Luke Molyneux and Andrew Nelson available as a striking options, and despite Molyneux being just 20-years-old, the Under-23 player looked a real bright spark in the few minutes he featured as a substitute against Charlton Athletic.

Another addition in the striking department would leave Sunderland with six strikers in their ranks for this season once sidelined players return to the first-team.
And despite Sunderland needing strength in depth for life in League One, six strikers battling for a place in Ross’s side could in fact cause some disruption in the dressing room.
