Newcastle United got off to a losing start when they were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in their opening game of the Premier League season.

Newcastle United have spent around £30million in order to add to their squad this summer, with the Magpies one game into their second season back in the top flight.
Rafa Benitez’s side have spent around £28million less than the promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers, £64million less than Fulham and just £2million more than the favourites to be relegated, Cardiff City.
And the former Champions League winning manager has vented his biggest concern for his side in an interview with the Chronicle.
The 58-year-old believes his side needed more quality in attack brought in this summer in order to compete with top-six teams like Spurs, who beat the Magpies 2-1 last weekend.
Benitez said: “In this case, we have our squad now and, if we do not have injuries, we can manage. But to make the difference in games like this, it is sometimes that little bit of quality that makes the difference.
“We have players where they can do it sometimes, but the next step is people who can make this every single week, and that is what they (Spurs) have.

“That (injuries) was one of the main worries, and it was why we knew we had to bring in Fernandez,”
Newcastle fans will be hopeful that Benitez remains at the club for the full season, giving them the best chance of enjoying a decent campaign. But the Spaniard’s patience is certainly being tested.
