Newcastle United will face Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Manchester United over the next four games.

Newcastle vs Arsenal, September 15

Newcastle United are always dangerous at home, especially in front of their usual bumper crowd inside St James’ Park. The Magpies have often performed their best against some of the big sides in the Premier League and the corresponding fixture ended in a 2-1 victory for Newcastle. We see United getting their first win this weekend.

Prediction: Newcastle 2-1 Arsenal

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle, September 22

Selhurst Park is no easy place to go, especially with Roy Hodgson’s men now a tough team to break down. But, off the back of their predicted first win of the season this weekend against Unai Emery’s side, we are predicting Newcastle to pick up a point in a low-scoring tie, reminiscent of last season’s 1-1 draw in the capital.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Newcastle

Newcastle vs Leicester City, September 29

United will return to Tyneside at the end of September to face Claude Puel’s Leicester, who are known for their counter-attacking style but very hard to stop. We predict a similar style of game to the corresponding fixture last season which ended 3-2 to the away side, but with a high-scoring draw the result this time round.

Prediction: Newcastle 2-2 Leicester

Manchester United vs Newcastle, October 6

Newcastle have a good record against Jose Mourinho’s United in recent years, but a trip to Old Trafford is never easy for any side, evident in their 4-1 defeat to the Red Devils. We predict this tie to be no easier for Newcastle, especially with the big pitch and the calibre of player on show for the hosts.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Newcastle
