Newcastle are without a win so far this campaign.

Newcastle are yet to win a game in their second season back in the Premier League and some fans have question Rafa Benitez’s alleged negative tactics.

The Magpies return from the international break to play Unai Emery’s Arsenal and the game is a big chance for Newcastle to pick up their first win in front of a bumper crowd.

In order to achieve their first three points of the 2018/19 campaign, Benitez has to field a side with two strikers against an Arsenal side who have looked fragile in defence.

The Tyneside team signed Salomon Rondon from West Bromwich Albion earlier this summer, but the Venezuelan is yet to make a real impact and has often been left isolated upfront without a partner.

Rondon has a proven track record of scoring goals and Newcastle’s number nine could thrive alongside another player, but Benitez has to experiment with a more attacking style, starting this weekend.

Joselu of Newcastle United during the Carabao Cup Second Round match between Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United at City Ground on August 29, 2018 in Nottingham, England.

Spaniard Joselu already has two goals this campaign and confidence will be high with the former Stoke City man and both he and Rondon could cause several problems to any Premier League defence.

Another option is Ayoze Perez, who would offer a lot of pace upfront for Rondon to win headers for the 25-year-old to get on the end of.

Regardless, it is imperative Benitez guards against being stubborn and the Spaniard has to give two attackers a chance if Newcastle are to stand a chance of staying in England’s top-flight this season.
