Salomon Rondon joined Newcastle United on loan from West Bromwich Albion late last month.

The Magpies’ tough run of games do not get any easier when they return for their game against Arsenal next week, and Rafa Benitez’s side will soon need to pick up a win to not only propel them up the league, but to also lift morale.
However, in an interview with the Chronicle, on-loan forward Salomon Rondon insists his new side must keep going if they hope to achieve survival this season.
When speaking about their win-less run so far, Rondon said: “We have to keep going – that is the only way to change the situation. The confidence is the most important thing in this sport.
“We just have to start not conceding goals, and continue our positive performances, our positive things, and keep looking forward.”
Suggestions have been made that manager Benitez must begin to field a Newcastle side that will play in a more attacking manner as their season continues, with accusations of the Spaniard adopting negative tactics in their opening four matches.
A more attacking formation could see Rondon and Joselu begin a new partnership on Tyneside, and the pair could work well to cause problems to rival defences with their physical presence.
