Middlesbrough forward Jordan Hugill arrived from West Ham last month.

Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis brought Jordan Hugill to Teesside from West Ham earlier this summer and the striker was given his first start against Bolton Wanderers in midweek.
Hugill led the line alongside Danish international Martin Braithwaite in the hosts’ 2-0 win, playing the full match for Tony Pulis’ side.
And despite impressing in patches, the 26-year-old’s overall performance suggested he isn’t quite ready to lead the line in Middlesbrough’s starting line-up just yet.
Hugill worked tirelessly throughout the match and certainly showed the Boro faithful his desire in playing for the shirt, chasing down every loose ball and often pressuring opposition defenders.
But after failing to convert two golden opportunities, it was left to Boro’s talisman Britt Assombalonga to finish the game off late on, making it 2-0 with a delicate chipped effort.

Assombalonga and his teammate Braithwaite are the clear best options in attack moving forward for Pulis to choose when selecting his side, especially with Hugill only just recovering from his persistent injury.
Although, if the 26-year-old can show signs of a good player, the Teesside-born man can certainly push for a place in the starting line-up, especially over the busy winter period when Pulis will need to make the most of his squad.
