Middlesbrough beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 on Wednesday evening.

Middlesbrough signed George Saville from Millwall in late August and the Northern Irishman was handed his first start by manager Tony Pulis in Boro’s match against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday evening.
Middlesbrough fans have taken to social media to react to Saville’s performance at the Riverside in a win that lifted the Teessiders back into the automatic promotion spots.
Saville scored the opening goal of the game with a neat finish in the 34th minute, and his side benefited from his midfield play throughout, with the 25-year-old often looking to create goal-scoring opportunities for the hosts.
The trio in Middlesbrough’s midfield – Saville, Jonny Howson and Adam Clayton – complemented each other nicely and Pulis has seemingly found the right balance between attack and defence.

Saville will be hoping his performance against the former Premier League side will be enough to be first-choice in the Middlesbrough midfield pecking order from now on,
With Muhamed Besic, Paddy McNair and Grant Leadbitter all desperate for a place in the starting XI, Saville must continue to produce this type of performance.

Below is the some of the reaction to Saville’s recent performance:
