Jerome Sinclair bagged his first Sunderland goal against Peterborough United on Tuesday evening.

Sunderland were held to a 2-2 draw against Peterborough in a pivotal clash on Wearside, but the point was a welcome one when Black Cats full-back Bryan Oviedo was sent off late on.
Jack Ross’s side put in a good display against their title rivals and at the heart of that was Jerome Sinclair, who scored a goal and worked tirelessly throughout.
The loanee might have sealed a place in his manager’s starting line-up for the coming games, especially with Sunderland now struggling with injuries.
Sinclair operated in a striker role in front of talisman Josh Maja, who also scored on the night, and the role seemed to benefit not only him but also his side.
The 22-year-old chased down every loose ball throughout his 90 minutes on the pitch, and that was evident when Sinclair fell to his knees in exhaustion with just minutest to play.

Sinclair was to be replaced by young prospect Benjamin Kimpioka, but not before he could fire home from six yards after a beautifully crafted move by Chris Maguire.
Ross will have liked what he saw from his forward on Tuesday night and, with the League One schedule heating up, Sinclair could be the perfect compliment to the in-form Maja in the coming games.
