The jury has been out on Sunderland youngster George Honeyman so far this season.

Sunderland have made a decent start to life in League One and currently sit fourth, five points adrift of table-toppers Peterborough United.
One of the keys to the Black Cats’ season so far has been midfielder Lee Cattermole, who has been outstanding alongside both Dylan McGeouch and Max Power in front of the back four.
And former Sunderland forward Stephen Elliot has had his say on Cattermole, as well as captain George Honeyman, who has prompted discussion with his performances this term.
Questions surrounding 24-year-old Honeyman’s place in the Sunderland side have continued to circulate among the Black Cats fan base, especially after the midfielder’s recent performance against Coventry, and Elliot has had his say.
Cattermole has not been known for his prolific goal-scoring throughout his 13-year career, but this season the North-East-born man has bagged three goals, including a brace against AFC Wimbledon.

Elliot, who played for Sunderland from 2004 to 2007, certainly makes an interesting point and one that Jack Ross will need to consider in future weeks with the third tier schedule heating up.
The Black Cats will be missing Cattermole in their huge clash against Steve Evans’ side and Honeyman will have a chance to silence the doubters with a good performance on Tuesday evening.
