It has been all change at West Ham this summer with Manuel Pellegrini brought in as manager.
The Hammers are backing the Chilean with big money too as they look set to seal their sixth signing of a busy summer in the shape of Felipe Anderson, a transfer which will take their spending this window past the £90 million mark.
And West Ham are not done there either with reports linking with them several other players too.
It comes as a major relief for West Ham fans who protested last season over what they felt were broken promises regarding their big move to the London Stadium and their transfer spending and ambition.
After finishing just four points off Champions League qualification in their farewell campaign at Upton Park the wheels have come off somewhat for West Ham.
New stadium moves are always troublesome.
But Hammers fans have remained as loyal as ever filling their new 60,000 seater ground week in and week out.
The club also has the second highest number of season ticket holders in the Premier League with 52,000 – behind only Manchester United.
The Hammers are widely regarded as the biggest club never to have won the top flight title.
And some fans and pundits don’t give West Ham the status they deserve according to former boss Harry Redknapp who hit out in a rant on talkSPORT.
“West Ham is a big club, 60-odd thousand people every week,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.
“I hate it when people keep saying West Ham’s not a big club. It is, of course it’s a big club when you get that type of support.
“They fill that stadium every week and I think it’s a great move (for players).”
