Lyle Taylor has said on Instagram that reported Arsenal summer 2022 transfer target Djed Spence is good enough to play for Manchester City.

Taylor, on loan at Birmingham City from Nottingham Forest at the moment, made the comments on Instagram following Spence, linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, playing very well against Leicester City in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Forest got the better of Leicester 4-1 at the City Ground in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Right-back Spence scored in the 61st minute.

The 21-year-old is on loan at Forest from Championship rivals Middlesbrough at the moment.

Arsenal interest in Djed Spence

Goal reported last week that Arsenal want to sign Middlesbrough-owned right-back Spence in the summer of 2022.

The Gunners reportedly want cover for Japan international right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu and are eyeing a move for the 21-year-old.

The Northern Echo reported last month that Arsenal were planning to make a bid for the youngster on the final day of the January transfer window.

The report said that Middlesbrough value the youngster at £12-15 million.

Now, Arsenal may be keen on Spence, but striker Taylor believes that the youngster’s next club could be defending Premier League champions Manchester City, as you can see below.
