Watford’s manager, Marco Silva, was the subject of Everton interest earlier this month.
Watford’s Christian Kabasele has received an approach from Everton… on Football Manager.
Kabasele has taken over as Watford boss on the latest edition of the popular computer game and – much like real life gaffer Marco Silva – the Belgian’s work has caught the eye of Everton.
Silva was the subject of several Everton approaches after Ronald Koeman’s sacking in October, but Watford stood firm, with the Toffees turning instead to Sam Allardyce.
And posting on Twitter on Wednesday, Kabasele wrote:
Kabasele, who added his virtual Watford side are currently mid-table, has yet to reveal whether or not he accepted Everton’s approach.
Real-life Kabasele has played 13 times for Watford in the Premier League this season, and kept five clean sheets.
Everton announced on Wednesday that Allardyce, who sat beside Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri during the 4-0 win against West Ham United, was finalising a move to Goodison Park.
The 63-year-old previously claimed to have pulled out of talks, before Everton made their approach for Silva.
