Liverpool could be willing to sell Divock Origi in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool striker Divock Origi could be allowed to leave the club before transfer deadline, and Tottenham Hotspur could be one of his future destinations.
The Belgian striker was left out of Liverpool’s match day squad against Arsenal, was absent during the Champions League clash against Hoffenheim at Anfield as well, with Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke being preferred ahead of him.
Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave out Origi has led to speculation over the Belgian’s future, with the Telegraph reporting last week that Tottenham could be interested in signing him if he is made available.
Spurs are looking to sell Vincent Janssen and sign a forward to cover and play with Harry Kane, and Origi could be an option.
The player’s father Mike Origi has said in an interview with Dh.be that Tottenham could be an option for the 22-year-old striker.
“We’ve not been contacted by Anderlecht. Divock has to leave Liverpool to get more playing time. Tottenham is a possibility, but there is also interest from France and Germany,” said Origi’s father, as quoted by Dh.be.
Origi is already an established Belgian international, and he still has years ahead of him.
He would be a decent back up option for Spurs, but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would be willing to sell the player to one of their direct rivals.
