Divock Origi was outshone by his attacking teammates against Chester, so the pressure is on for tonight’s game with Tranmere Rovers.

It was recently suggested by the Liverpool Echo that Jurgen Klopp is ready to give Divock Origi another chance in the Liverpool first team next season, but he’ll have to make more of an impression than he did against Chester recently.
The Belgian was afforded 45 minutes against the National League North side, but was largely ineffective alongside Dominic Solanke.
Things were made worse for the 23-year-old with Harry Wilson and Daniel Sturridge both hitting braces, as they attempt to force Klopp to consider them worthy first teamers for next season.
Sturridge in particular was lively, and played like a man determined to prove he still has something to offer at Anfield, and Wilson impressed with his goal-poaching abilities.
It could well place more pressure on the shoulders of Origi for the game with Tranmere on Tuesday evening, knowing that Sturridge and Wilson – who was recently blocked from moving to Celtic on loan, as reported by the Daily Record – have both gotten off to a flyer in pre-season.

There are question marks about the Belgian from a fan point of view – before he was farmed out on loan to Wolfsburg, Origi demonstrated that he could be frustrating in the final third, sometimes lacking consistency over his end product.
Klopp may be willing to give the youngster another chance, but if he doesn’t do the business whilst others on the frontline are performing, it could make it very difficult for the German to keep him around.
