The Liverpool striker scored the opening goal in the win over Sunderland on Saturday.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Liverpool striker Divock Origi says he always knew he had something to offer this current team.
The Belgian has found himself out of the first-team picture this season, with his only starts coming in the EFL Cup.
He proved his worth on Saturday afternoon, though, replacing the injured Philippe Coutinho after 34 minutes against Sunderland and going on to open the scoring in the 75th minute.
That goal helped his side to an eventual 2-0 win and continue their push at the top of the table.

The goal was another demonstration of the talent Origi has to offer and he says he always knew he had something to give.
“I always believed in my qualities and so did the club, so did the supporters, so did the manager,” he told the club’s official website.
“I just used all this hunger to improve myself and stay ready for the moment you have to help the team.”
“I’m so happy that I could help the team and I hope everything will go well this season.”

Origi will now be hoping to get more game time in future as the Reds continue to challenge for the title this season.
The injury to Philippe Coutinho could provide him with a chance to establish himself in the team should the Brazilian be ruled out for an extended period as expected.
Losing the influential midfielder will force Jurgen Klopp to change around his team and that could see Origi come in. If it does, he will be hoping to have a similar impact to the one he had on Saturday.
