Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left stunned by Vitesse fans, who had banners up protesting against them at their Conference League game last night.

Protests against Tottenham

Tottenham postponed their match against Rennes in the competition, in a move which seems to have caused frustration across Europe.

Spurs have suffered a covid outbreak, which has left over 20 players and members of staff with the illness.

But there seems to be a feeling among the teams in Tottenham’s group that they should have played their game against Rennes anyway.

Indeed, Vitesse supporters put banners up protesting against Tottenham and UEFA at their game last night.

Now, we won’t show the actual signs in this article, as they contain swearing, but they can be seen here.

And Tottenham fans certainly weren’t happy about seeing such protests against their side.

Harsh reaction

It does seem that the reaction to Tottenham calling off their game has been over the top.

Spurs could hardly have foreseen these circumstances coming.

Indeed, there has been a fair amount of frustration shared at Spurs around the game being called off.

Antonio Conte has spoken about how sad he is after seeing so many of his team have to isolate.

Tottenham hardly benefit from the postponement either.

They now have a huge amount of fixtures to play in a short amount of time, between now and the end of the season.

What Spurs do know is that they must beat Rennes to make it through in the Conference League, as Vitesse won last night against Mura.
