Michael Dawson told Sky Sports News on Tuesday afternoon that David Moyes would be ‘disrespectful’ to West Ham if he joins Everton.
The former Premier League defender shared that Moyes, 58, has done an ‘unbelievable’ job at West Ham this season – with his name now being touted for the vacant Everton job.
Moyes was perhaps the last Everton boss to bring real stability and consistency to the role, and since his departure, lots of millions have been spent and most of it in the wrong manner.
But now the Times suggest that Moyes could be in line for a sensational return to Everton after Carlo Ancelloti left for Real Madrid yesterday.
Dawson thinks a lot of the talk will surround the Scotsman and that Everton role, but he thinks he would disrespect the Hammers if he left for Merseyside.
“David Moyes, everyone’s going to talk about that,” said Dawson. “Is he going to go back? I think that would be disrespectful to what he has done at West Ham.
“He has been absolutely sensational. Going back the second time around. Where they were to where he has taken them. Unbelievable season.”

It has to be questioned why Moyes would now swap the London Stadium for Goodison Park given where both clubs are at.
This time last season, perhaps, because those at the London Stadium had just survived relegation.
But the Hammers are now preparing for Europa League football, whilst Everton’s wounds are still healing after they missed out on European football altogether last season.
Plus, going back isn’t always a great idea and, from Everton’s perspective, there is plenty of fish in the sea.
