Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to criticise the club’s handling of Sabri Lamouchi’s departure, following the consequential hiring of Chris Hughton.
Within the same hour on Tuesday night, Forest confirmed the sacking of Lamouchi and the arrival of Hughton, wasting absolutely no time in finding a new manager.
However, some fans have taken issue with the lack of gratitude shown towards the French boss.
Forest’s statement regarding his dismissal contains just 18 words, without any mention of a thanks or wishing Lamouchi well.
It reads: Nottingham Forest can confirm that the contract of head coach Sabri Lamouchi has been terminated with immediate effect.

That brief message comes after the Lyon-born manager guided the club to seventh in the Championship last season, amassing a respectable 70 points.
Admittedly, they perhaps should’ve reached the Play-Offs.
However, that is no excuse to send Lamouchi packing without saying a simple thank you for his efforts.
In Hughton, Forest have an excellent coach who has previously guided Newcastle and Brighton out of the Championship.

He once oversaw a 102-point campaign for the Magpies, in a season where they lost just four games and won 30 while Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan ran riot.
Regardless of that, it is the club’s poor treatment of Lamouchi that has got supporters talking on Twitter.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying…
