Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the injury suffered by Nikola Katic.

Rangers have announced on their official website that Katic has sustained an injury during pre-season training.

The 23-year-old central defender picked up the injury more than a week ago and has been ruled out for “the foreseeable future”.

No other detail on the injury suffered by the Croatia international has been given by Rangers, with The Daily Record speculating that the youngster could be on the sidelines for ‘several months’.

Katic joined Rangers from Slaven Belupo in the summer of 2018 and has established himself as an important player in the team.

The 23-year-old has had injury problems during his time at Ibrox so far, but when fit and on song, the youngster is a very important figure for Steven Gerrard’s side.

With the 2020-21 Scottish Premiership campaign set to start in August, it does look like Katic will miss the start of the new season.

Some Rangers fans have given their take on the injury suffered by Katic, and below are some of the best comments on Twitter.
