Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are singing the praises of Tanguy Ndombele after the club released some training-ground footage of him on Thursday night.
In it, the France midfielder, who joined Tottenham in the summer of 2019 for a club-record £63 million [Sky Sports], makes fools of both Dele Alli and Alfie Devine.
Ndombele, who signed for Spurs from Lyon, effortlessly flicked the ball over both of his team-mates’ heads in the same passage of play, before collecting possession and continuing on with the bounce game.
There’s a lot of Tottenham supporters who have been arguing that Ndombele is the most skillful player at the club for a while and, well, evidence like this does their claims no harm at all.
Here’s how some fans of the North London club reacted to the footage on social media:
Jose Mourinho will need Ndombele in tip-top form between now and the end of the season.
Tottenham’s whole campaign rests on finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Champions League next term.
As things stand, the Lilywhites are sixth in the Premier League table and three points behind fourth-placed West Ham United.
