Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing what the commentators said about Alfie Devine during the U23 clash with Chelsea.

Tottenham’s young guns ran riot against Chelsea’s U23 side, winning 6-1 against the Blues on their own west London turf.

It seems as if the commentary team were beginning to get a bit annoyed at Tottenham’s dominance at 2-0, as they decided to start making remarks about Devine.

The two commentators, both of whom sound like grown men, accused the 16-year-old – yes, 16 – of having an attitude problem after they saw him complaining to the referee.

You can hear their comments in full below.

They referenced his clash with Danny Drinkwater earlier this season, which saw the 31-year-old and the teenager both sent off.

How can you accuse a 16-year-old of having an attitude problem based on a simple complaint to the referee?

Does that mean nearly every player in Europe has an attitude problem then?

From our perspective, we hope Devine – who is a fantastic prospect – doesn’t hear these comments, for his own good.

Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter had to say about the remarks…
