Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to direct their frustrations in the direction of Manchester City stalwart Fernandinho.
20 days ago, Marcelo Bielsa’s men recorded an incredible 2-1 win over the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium, despite having ten men for one half.
However, the win came at a cost. Raphinha suffered a heavy challenge from Fernandinho, which left his thigh wrapped in a bandage as shown by Leeds Live.
The Brazilian eventually limped off to be replaced by Jamie Shackleton, and he hasn’t played since.
Raphinha has missed the clashes against Liverpool and Manchester United as a result of Fernandinho’s challenge.
20 days on from the 2-1 win, and Leeds fans still haven’t forgiven Manchester City’s No.25 for what he did.
One supporter called him a ‘disgrace’ while another said that they won’t even be buying any products sponsored by Fernandinho!
You might argue that these things happen in football.
However, you can see the malice in the challenge just by watching the footage below.
Fernandinho is clearly frustrated that his side are losing, and takes it out on Raphinha.
He doesn’t even check to see if he’s okay!
