Liverpool have arguably their biggest game of the Premier League season on Sunday afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten from eight Premier League games but Manchester United will put that record to the test at Old Trafford this weekend.
Second-placed Liverpool are four points and four places ahead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
And therefore, the Reds will more than likely be narrow favourites.
But some fans of the Anfield club aren’t happy with the announcement that Anthony Taylor has been appointed as referee for the showpiece.
Here’s what Liverpool fans are saying:
History
Liverpool won 4-2 on their trip to the Theatre of Dreams last season and interestingly, Taylor was named as referee for that occasion, too.
He oversaw four Premier League games for Klopp’s side last term and the 3-1 defeat at Leicester was the only loss.
Taylor also presided over the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Anfield this season in a game which saw the visitors reduced to 10 men and Liverpool awarded a penalty.
Klopp and co warmed up for the encounter with a brilliant 3-2 win away to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last night.
It was the German’s first victory at Old Trafford last time around and with the Red Devils losing three of their last five games across all competitions, winning just the one, there’s no doubt who the form horses are ahead of Sunday.
