Graham Roberts has strongly criticised Jamie Carragher on Twitter for his comments on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in The Telegraph.

In his column for The Telegraph earlier today, former Liverpool defender Carragher suggested that Kane is no longer a player who England have to rely on all the time.

The Tottenham striker started against Croatia yesterday, but his performance in the Euro 2020 game was far from great.

Carragher noted that Kane looked “exhausted” in the game, and suggested that he could now become a player who plays for 65-70 minutes.

It is quite an analytical piece, and you can see read it in full here.

Former Tottenham star Roberts is not having it and has slammed Carragher on Twitter, as shown below.

Roberts wrote on Twitter: “What a load of ******.. disgusting  article.”

Kane had a rather disappointing game against Croatia.

However, one bad performance does not mean anything.

The fact of the matter is that the 27-year-old is a world-class striker who won the Premier League Golden Boot this past season.

Kane also provided the mosts assists in the league in 2020-21.

Of course, England should not rely on Kane for the goals.

But, you simply cannot ignore the fact that Kane is the most potent player in the England squad in terms of goals.

If England go on to win the Euros, rest assured that Kane will have played a big role in that quest.
