Some Liverpool fans are furious that Ademola Lookman was not sent off against them on Sunday.

Fulham held the Premier League champions to a point at Craven Cottage yesterday after Mo Salah scored a late penalty to rescue the Reds.

But they could and perhaps should have been facing 10 men for the latter part of the game after Lookman’s dangerous challenge on Liverpool’s Neco Williams.

The former Everton winger was only booked by referee Andre Marriner for his over-the-top tackle on the Liverpool defender in an incident which never made it to VAR assistant Lee Mason.

Here’s how fans of the Anfield club have reacted to the decision on Twitter:

That dangerous tackle aside, Liverpool just weren’t good enough.

Salah, despite scoring the penalty, wasn’t good enough and nor were Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino.

With the exception of Alisson and possibly Jordan Henderson, none of Jurgen Klopp’s players acquitted themselves very well.

The Anfield side are second behind Spurs on goal difference – and the North Londoners visit Merseyside on Wednesday in what could be the biggest game of the season so far, in the context of the title race.
