Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching footage of Kieran Tierney following the defeat to Burnley, and some of them are not happy.

The clip is a snippet of action from BBC’s Match of the Day on Sunday, in which the Scotland international apologised to supporters for the performance.

After watching the footage, a number of Arsenal fans have made it clear that they don’t feel Tierney should be the one stood apologising in front of the camera.

One supporter described Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s avoidance of the media after losing to Burnley as ‘disgraceful’ – the club captain really should’ve faced the music instead of the ex-Celtic man.

Failing that, a more senior presence in Granit Xhaka, Bernd Leno or Hector Bellerin should’ve come out and spoke, rather than a 23-year-old who deserves to be exempt from criticism.

Tierney has played well this season, impressing with his work rate and quality crossing.

He is yet to record an assist this season, largely down to the likes of Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette’s poor finishing.

Here are a few prime examples of that statement.

Understandably, the Arsenal fans are frustrated right now, and their frustration seems to be growing at the lack of communication from the club captain.

Let’s see how they reacted to Tierney’s apology on Twitter…
