Everton fans have taken to Twitter in anger after the club announced some changes made to the fixture schedule by the Premier League.

The Toffees will now play their rearranged fixture against Aston Villa on May 13th, after the initial clash was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

Additionally, Everton’s game against Sheffield United has been moved to May 16th, for reasons that the club’s announcement do not specify.

There has also been an update on when Everton will take on Wolves, the final game at Goodison Park this season.

That will be played sometime between May 18th and May 20th, in order to welcome some supporters back – subject to the Government’s easing of lockdown.

Obviously, that means Everton will definitely be playing two games in the space of three days, which is pretty tough.

If the Wolves clash is played on the 18th, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will have to deal with three games in the space of five days, which is bizarre.

Surely, the Premier League could’ve spaced these games out a bit more?

It’s simply unfair to make Everton play so many games in such a short space of time, when there have been opportunities recently to slide in an extra game or two.

This only increases the risk of Everton’s players getting injured, and could also harm their hopes of winning these games as they will surely tire.

Let’s see how the Everton fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s announcement on the matter yesterday…
