Lord Sugar has strongly criticised the referee on Twitter for allowing Brighton and Hove Albion’s goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to stand.
Tottenham won 2-1 against Brighton at home in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Harry Kane put Spurs in the lead from the penalty spot after 13 minutes, and Gareth Bale scored the winner on 73 minutes.
The Seagulls found the back of the net through Tariq Lamptey in the 53rd minute.
It was a controversial goal, as it seemed that Solly March had committed a foul on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the build-up.
Referee Graham Scott checked the pitchside monitor and decided that the goal should stand.
Former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar has slammed the referee for his decision, and so has ex-Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas.
Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys, formerly of Sky Sports and now at beIN SPORTS, believes that the goal should have been ruled out.
The win against Brighton means that Tottenham are now second in the Premier League table with 14 points from seven matches, just two points behind leaders and defending English champions Liverpool.
