Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Emerson Palmieri is about to leave Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea for David Moyes’s West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that West Ham are closing in on a deal to sign the Chelsea left-back.

The Hammers and the Blues are ready to seal a deal for an initial transfer fee of £13 million, with the 28-year-old Italy international defender now discussing personal terms, according to Romano.

West Ham about to sign Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri

Good signing for the Hammers

In our opinion, Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri would be a good signing for West Ham United in the summer transfer window, especially for £13 million.

The Italy international may not have been a huge success at Chelsea, but the 28-year-old was brilliant during his time at AS Roma.

Emerson is at the top of his game at the moment and would be able to make an immediate impact at the Hammers.

Aaron Cresswell is 32 now and needs strong competition for his place in the Hammers’ starting lineup.

Emerson will provide just that.

The Italian has made 33 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, creating three big chances in the process.
