Arsenal fans have had a very mixed reaction to the performance of Dayot Upamecano for RB Leipzig last night.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Upamecano in the build up to the summer transfer window, although Football London suggest that they could struggle to afford his £35 million fee.

The centre-back’s performance for Leipzig didn’t convince every Arsenal supporter that he would be worth spending the money on.

Leipzig could only manage a 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin yesterday, with Upamecano partly at fault for the first goal.

And while some Arsenal fans were impressed with the 21-year-old, others were far from convinced by his display.

Even if Arsenal don’t go for Upamecano this summer it is thought that Mikel Arteta will target a centre-back.

The Gunners have struggled to find a reliable pairing this season, and David Luiz’s future is now very much up in the air, meaning that a defender will surely need to be signed.
