Liverpool fans have been left shocked after Dominic Solanke scored a brace for Bournemouth yesterday.
It is fair to say that things haven’t gone to plan for Solanke since he left Liverpool for £19 million (BBC Sport), with the England international striker badly struggling for goals.
However, he did finally break his duck yesterday, as he fired Bournemouth to a 4-1 victory over Leicester City.
Plenty of Liverpool fans were left stunned by their former player’s new found goalscoring form.
But as happy as they were to see Solanke scoring, some Liverpool fans were frustrated – as the result really helps Manchester United out in their race for the top four.
United can now move ahead of Leicester and into third place in the Premier League table with victory this evening against Southampton.
Liverpool, meanwhile, will next be in action on Wednesday – when they take on Arsenal.
