Celtic fans have taken to Twitter following the signing of Liam Shaw from Sheffield Wednesday, and they have one concern over his arrival.
What is it? Well, the Celtic Park faithful are a bit wary about the fact that the 19-year-old has been signed before Neil Lennon’s replacement has been found.
Supporters on Twitter were keen to know who exactly sanctioned this deal.
Was it Peter Lawwell? Was it Nick Hammond? Who knows for certain.
Regardless, their concern is a very valid one.
It’s entirely possible that a new manager is appointed, and wants nothing to do with Shaw.
Despite the fact he appears to be a very talented youngster, it’s always a risk to sign players who haven’t received the manager’s seal of approval.

For Shaw’s sake, we very much hope that whoever replaces Lennon is a big fan of him, and enables him to have a bright future in Glasgow.
It definitely feels like he could be a future fan favourite at Celtic.
Despite his age, he has made 15 starts in all competitions for the Owls this season, which shows he’s a first-team member who can be trusted.

To land him on a free represents next to no risk for Celtic, so it was a no brainer to secure his services.
Having said that, the Celtic supporters’ concern is still a very valid one.
Let’s see what they’ve had to say…
