Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to the news that they’re facing the prospect of being without Mohamed Salah for a significant chunk of next season.
Salah was always bound to miss a bit of next term due to the upcoming African Cup of Nations, but it’s also being reported that Egypt want him as a part of their Olympic squad this summer.
That would mean that Salah would miss the entirety of Liverpool’s pre-season, and he’d probably need a bit of extra rest in the summer that could eat into the beginning of next season.
As you can imagine, Liverpool supporters had plenty to say about this news, and it’s fair to say that they’re not best pleased with the idea of Salah playing in two international tournaments next season.
We can understand why as well, Salah is one of the Reds’ most important players, so being without him for a long period next season would be a massive blow for the Anfield outfit.
