Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson stated on Instagram that it’s ‘disappointing’ England suffered a 2-0 defeat to Belgium in the UEFA Nations League last night.

The Three Lions were 2-0 down before the half-time break when Liverpool’s combative midfielder was forced off because of muscle tightness and replaced by Harry Winks.

The Spurs man did quicken things up for Gareth Southgate’s side during that second period, as Jack Grealish ran the show, but in the end, it was another defeat in the UEFA Nations League.

Nonetheless, this was the Instagram message Henderson sent to his fans after that defeat on the international stage.

Well, with Liverpool’s injury problems mounting by the minute and Henderson being forced off, it will be a surprise to see him in action against Iceland on Wednesday.

Even though it’s a competitive game by name, it’s a dead-rubber at the end of the day and those on Merseyside will be hoping their players will be wrapped up in cotton wool.

It seems as though every time a Liverpool player steps onto the field of play, he’s suffering an injury of some kind and Henderson is another name who could be added to that list.

Just in recent weeks alone, it is coming close to double figures in regards to the number of injuries Liverpool players have suffered.

But they will be hoping that Henderson’s half-time substitution was precaution more than anything.
