Antonio Conte has backed Harry Kane to bounce back after his penalty miss in the World Cup quarter-final against France.
The England captain had bagged from the spot in the 54th minute to level the scores against Didier Deschamps’ side.
Uncharacteristically, one of the world’s best penalty takers in Harry Kane missed and in horrific fashion by blasting the ball up and over the crossbar.
Sadly, for the Tottenham legend, the Three Lions crashed out of the competition despite being the superior side on the day.

Now the question remains how the 29-year-old will recover mentally after a traumatic set of sequences.
Despite being the Premier League’s third highest goalscorer of all time, countless critics question the Spurs striker’s ability to do the business at the highest level.
And that too, for both club and country.
With Kane proving the short-sighted theory on this single instance, it could well affect his displays for Tottenham Hotspur during the second half of the season.
Conte backs Kane to bounce back after penalty miss at the World Cup
Ahead of Tottenham’s Boxing Day encounter against Brentford, Antonio Conte has displayed his confidence at Harry Kane redeeming himself in no time, after his missed penalty at the World Cup against France.
“We are talking about a world-class striker. But, you know, football is this. You can have exciting moments and also, you can have moments where you a bit disappointed because you miss the penalty”, he said via Football Daily.
“The second penalty, no? Because the first penalty, he scored.”
Kane proved his bounce-back ability for Tottenham last season
After the move to Manchester City did not seem to be in Harry Kane’s destiny last summer, his form went on to fall off a cliff.
It took Kane 7 Premier League games before getting off the mark, but his goalscoring still seemed far away from his usual high standards.
While many questioned whether the Tottenham marksman was past his best, he dominated during the second half of the campaign to silence his doubters.
Kane has been there, done that and is likely to once again.
