Liverpool have won every Premier League game so far this season and they will be hoping to continue that run when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford this Sunday.

Dirk Kuyt has backed Liverpool to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford this Sunday, as he was reminiscing about their 4-1 win in 2009.

The former Dutch forward, who left Liverpool in 2012, was part of that Rafa Benitez side that scored four at Old Trafford, as he stated that Jurgen Klopp’s confident side can produce the goods at the weekend.

Liverpool will go into the match sitting top of the Premier League table and with a 100% record to their name. By contrast, their rivals are struggling in the bottom half.

It has been a pretty long time since the gap between both teams has been this big, as Kuyt believes that this current Liverpool side has the same ‘never give up’ attitude to the side that he used to play for.

“A lot of rivalry between the two teams,” Kuyt told Sky Sports.”I love to play those kinds of games. Of course, I remember the 1-4, when we were 1-0 down and we still won the game. It was difficult, but we always had the belief that we could get something out of it.

“If you look at the Liverpool side now, I think they have a lot of confidence and they should have because they are a great team. I think they can win again.

On that 4-1 win at OT: “It’s the belief and always giving everything for the shirt and play as a team and never give up and that’s what we did at that time. But if you watch the Liverpool team now, they never give up even during the difficult times, they keep winning and hopefully, they will do that at Old Trafford as well.”

There is no doubt that Liverpool are favourites for this encounter, and going by form, the managers on the touchline and the players on display then the three points should be heading to Merseyside.

But this isn’t any ordinary game, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if there is a different result, or it is a lot closer than some may think.

Either way, another three points for Klopp’s side will only send out a further statement to Liverpool’s rivals that they can end their title drought this season.
