RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche has told Bild that other clubs are interested in signing playmaker Marcel Sabitzer.
Krosche claims that he wants to end the season before talking to Sabitzer about a new deal, given that he is out of contract in the summer of 2022.
However, other clubs have noticed Sabitzer according to Krosche, who highlighted his ‘great development’ with Leipzig.
“We wanted to end the year first, both sides will deal more intensively with the topic in the spring,” said Krosche. “As I said, he made a great development. It goes without saying that other clubs also notice this,” he added.
The strongest link so far has been with Tottenham Hotspur, with Jose Mourinho allegedly keen on luring the Austrian to North London in January.
Bild claim that Leipzig are struggling to give Sabitzer a pay rise, whereas Spurs could offer him a huge deal worth £140,000-a-week to make the move in 2021.

Fabrizio Romano has added another update today, tweeting that Spurs are indeed following Sabitzer’s situation, and have wanted him for months now, but there is no concrete update on a move to Tottenham.
Sabitzer, 26, is a versatile midfielder who can play centrally or out wide, possessing great quality on the ball as well as work ethic that Mourinho is seeking.
Leipzig won’t sell on the cheap even with Sabitzer approaching the final 18 months of his contract, and Krosche seemingly holds out hope that he will end up snubbing Spurs for a stay in Germany.
