Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche is confident Evan Ndicka won’t leave in January despite recent reports suggesting that Arsenal are close to signing the French centre-back.
Speaking to the Frankfurter Rundschau, the Bundesliga official revealed that is sure the 23-year-old defender, along with other key Frankfurt player, will remain at the club in January, even with Arsenal being heavily linked with Ndicka this month.
According to the Express, Arsenal are keeping tabs on Ndicka and negotiations to sign the centre-back could open in January, with the defender’s current contract with Frankfurt set to expire in the summer, meaning the Frenchman can leave the German club for free.
Krosche said when asked about if key players such as Ndicka could leave Frankfurt in January: “We have control over a lot of players, but not some. That’s the way it is. But I don’t think there will be a major upheaval, we want to maintain continuity.”

Labelled by Jamie Carragher as an ‘aggressive’ player, Nicka would be a suitable signing for Arsenal and a perfect fit for what Mikel Arteta has been looking for in the transfer market, with the defender one of the most experienced in his age group in Europe.
As well as being left-footed, Ndicka could work as a long-term replacement for the likes of Rob Holding, with Arsenal in need of more quality beyond the main starting XI. Yet even with Krosche shooting down hopes of a move in January, the Gunners should still test the waters.
Ndicka could leave Frankfurt in January if Arsenal come in with offer

Frankfurt have their sporting intentions right when they state they want to keep Ndicka and other key players for 2023, especially with the Bundesliga side in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, yet Arsenal could still sign the defender if they come with a good offer in January.
After all, Frankfurt could miss out on a major payday if they decide to not cash in on Ndicka next month, and with Arsenal set to spend are keen to add another centre-back to their ranks, a reasonable bid might be enough to swing the tie into the Gunners’ favour.
