Southampton lost 2-0 against Watford in the Premier League clash on Saturday.

Watford jumped to fourth in the Premier League table after winning 2-0 against Southampton at St Mary’s on Saturday.
Abdoulaye Doucoure scored a spectacular low half-volley from 25 yards out to beat Fraser Forster at the end of the first half.
Daryl Janmaat, who came on as a substitute, made it 2-0 with a fine 30-yard strike.
It was a lacklustre performance from the home side who had only one shot on target – a long-range effort from Cedric Soares which was saved in injury time.

Marco Silva has given Watford a fantastic start, registering two wins and two draws in their opening four Premier League matches.
Southampton’s goal scoring problems continue as they have now failed to score in four of their five matches in all competitions in 2017-18.
It has been a recurrent problem for them, and it seems that the new manager has failed to rectify it. They failed to score in six of their last eight league matches last season, and here we’re witnessing a similar worrying trend as well.

Former Manchester United and Aston Villa player Dion Dublin has summed up Southampton’s performance in two words – “Absolutely embarrassing.”
“Absolutely embarrassing. You can’t go through a whole game without a shot on target or making the keeper get his kit dirty,” said Dublin on BBC Final Score (live blog; 16:51 pm).
“Watford have made Southampton look terrible – that’s how good they have been.”
Southampton had 53% of possession, but had only nine shots compared to 12 from Watford, according to BBC Sport.
