Dion Dublin has claimed that Raphinha is a ‘genius to watch’ when playing for Leeds United, as he told PL Productions (17/01/22 at 12:35 pm).

The Brazil international has probably been Leeds’ best player this season in what has been an injury-hit campaign for the club.

Despite having to play without the energy machine Patrick Bamford upfront, or having the roadblock, Kalvin Phillips, in the treatment room on some occasions.

Raphinha has been the one to step up to the plate and score an impressive eight Premier League goals for his club.

Former Manchester United and Aston Villa striker, Dublin, spoke highly of the player and what he brings to the table.

“Raphinha down the right-hand side is just a genius to watch,” said Dublin. “He picks the right passes all the time.”

Leeds are now nine points clear of the drop zone and that cushion should be enough for them to breathe a little easier.

At one point, when they were getting smashed by Manchester City and Arsenal, many would have been left worried.

But Marcelo Bielsa kept faith in his young guns and dragged them to this position, including Raphinha scoring a number of crucial goals.

Unless another Leeds player goes goal or performance crazy during these coming months, then there is no reason why Raphinha shouldn’t be the club’s Player of the Year.
