Diogo Jota has been sensational since arriving at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer.

When Wolves were closing in on a loan deal for Diogo Jota in the summer, the Express and Star reported that the Championship side would have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan.
But based on how the 20-year-old has started life at Molineux, Wolves should have absolutely no hesitation in making the deal permanent as quickly as possible.

Jota’s arrival was somewhat overshadowed initially with Ruben Neves arguably proving to be the marquee addition of the window, with the Express and Star reporting that he cost Wolves £15 million from Porto.
But while Neves has been excellent, the tables have somewhat turned as it is Jota who has stolen many of the headlines with some fantastic form for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

The forward has scored five times in just nine games, including the winner against Millwall and the two goals in the 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest last weekend.
Those goals have helped put Wolves second in the table with only goal difference keeping them below table-toppers Leeds, with both teams winning six and losing one so far.
With Jota only 20 as well, signing him – even if he commands a fee similar to what it took to bring Neves to Molineux – could reap huge dividends in the future if he manages to get even better in the coming years as he becomes more experienced.
And managing to keep players such as Jota at the club is surely another fantastic statement from a side that has captured the imagination with their recent business in the transfer market.
