Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has named Naby Keita among the three most skilful players at Anfield, as quoted in The Liverpool Echo.

Jota, who joined Liverpool from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2020, has said that Brazil international forward Roberto Firmino is the most skilful player at the Reds.

The Portugal international has said that midfielder Thiago Alcantara is the third-most skilful player at Liverpool.

Jota has added that 26-year-old Guinea international central midfielder Keita is the second most skilful player at Liverpool.

The Liverpool forward’s claim about Keita might surprise some fans, as the midfielder has not played well for the Reds.

Well, not on a consistent basis anyway.

The Liverpool Echo quotes Jota as saying: “Firmino (is the most skilful), then Naby. Thiago is also a good option!”

Naby Keita has struggled at Liverpool

In our opinion, Keita has struggled at Liverpool, although we have to consider that the midfielder has had injury problems.

Fitness issues have affected the midfielder, who cost Liverpool £48 million in transfer fees (BBC Sport).

However, we cannot ignore the fact that when Keita has played, he has not really done exceptionally well.

Yes, there have been some good games, but overall, the former RB Leipzig central midfielder has not been great.

Keita has scored six goals and created nine big chances in 64 Premier League appearances for Liverpool so far in his career.

The Liverpool no. 8 has made six starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.
