Arsenal-owned defender Dinos Mavropanos made his comeback from injury on Saturday.
The Greek centre-back left Arsenal to join Stuttgart in Germany this past summer but injury has stifled his progress in the Bundesliga.
Mavropanos went under the knife after picking up a knee injury in October and was expected to be sidelined for the rest of 2020.
But the Gunners youngster was named in the first XI for the 3-1 defeat by Bayern Munich yesterday for what was only his second league appearance of the season.
Here’s how the player reacted on Twitter and how Arsenal fans responded to the big man:
If we’re honest, Mavropanos, who has had his fair share of injuries since joining the North Londoners almost three years ago, needs a flawless second half of the campaign.
Mikel Arteta has a lot of central defenders available and unless Mavropanos has a brilliant second half of his loan spell next year, there isn’t much to come back to at the Emirates Stadium you feel, in terms of first-team chances.
