Newcastle United are said to be interested in bringing Dimitri Oberlin to St. James’ Park.

Newcastle are on the look out for a new attacker, and Oberlin is said to have caught Rafael Benitez’s eye.
If Oberlin was to arrive at St. James’ Park, he would increase Benitez’s forward options – but that may not be good news for Aarons.

Aarons has had to deal with minimal game-time this term, with the youngster struggling to break into Benitez’s starting plans.
The 22-year-old has been given chances off the substitutes’ bench, but he is yet to start a Premier League contest this term.

And with Oberlin also in Newcastle’s squad, his chances of playing would be even more restricted.
Oberlin is capable of playing up-front or down the wing, and if the 20-year-old is to arrive at Tyneside, that may be a signal that Aarons needs to move on, for his own development.
