Dimitar Berbatov has told the Monday Night Club that Tottenham duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur have “surprised” him this season. The two signings came in from Juventus in January, and have both starred.

While Son Heung-min, Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Hugo Lloris and Cristian Romero have come in for plaudits – Berbatov was full of praise for his old side’s two January recruits. Bentancur and Kulusevski have been superb.
Both signed from Juventus – Bentancur, 24, permanently and Kulusevski on a loan-to-buy deal – the duo have taken no time to settle in and hit the ground running. Berbatov says he was surprised how quickly they adapted.
“I was surprised at how well both new players, Kulusevski and Bentancur, have done this season. I was surprised, given that they came from Italy, are they going to get into the tempo of the Premier League straight away.
“Are they going to fit? But Conte knows exactly what he is doing, getting the exactly the right player to fit into the team. That is why I am curious who is going to come in next,” Berbatov told BBC’s Monday Night Club.

As Berbatov says, it will make Spurs fans “curious” to see who Conte will bring in this summer. That is, especially, after qualifying for the Champions League. It could be about to get incredibly exciting for Tottenham fans.
Fraser Forster is expected to replace Pierluigi Gollini as back-up to Hugo Lloris. Italy international Gollini is said to be interesting Torino. A left-back, centre-back, midfielder, attacking midfielder and striker are on the radar.
But if Kulusevski and Bentancur are anything to go by, Spurs fans can be excited – but also trust the signings Conte and Fabio Paratici make.
