Tottenham Hotspur have not won a major trophy since 2008.

Tottenham legend Dimitar Berbatov spoke to reporters after the legends match against Inter Milan yesterday, and highlighted how the constant suggestions that Mauricio Pochettino’s side need to start winning things must really irritate the Argentine, as quoted by the Sun.
Pochettino has worked wonders at Spurs, since taking over in the summer of 2014, but he is still yet to guide his side to a major trophy, with their last triumph coming in the League Cup final in 2008.
Tottenham were in contention to win the Premier League title around one month ago, but they are now well out of the race, and the Champions League represents their only chance of glory this season.
And Berbatov told reporters how the questions constantly being asked about Tottenham’s failure to win trophies will really irritate Pochettino, as quoted by the Sun:

“Mauricio has everything he needs to succeed — a new home, a state-of-the-art training ground and the challenge now is to win something. He must get irritated at everyone going on about it — I do it and irritate myself! But it is the next stage of their development.”
Tottenham face a tough game away at Liverpool this afternoon, and they really cannot afford to lose, if they are to qualify for the Champions League for the fourth consecutive season.
