Kai Havertz has told Arsenal fans on Instagram that it’s a ‘big month’ ahead for Mikel Arteta’s side after he helped managerless Germany beat France 2-1 in an international friendly on Tuesday.
Ahead of Euro 2024, Germany have sacked Hansi Flick after they went five games without winning, with Kai Havertz admitting that it has been a ‘difficult week’ for his nation.
The 24-year-old came off the bench against France yesterday by assisting Leroy Sane in what turned out to be the decisive goal with three minutes left on the clock.
After his big-money transfer to Arsenal this summer, life has been pretty tough for Havertz at his new club, with fans and the media piling into the player.
Even before he could kick a ball at the Emirates, there were already wild claims that he was going to be a ‘flop’.
And given that the versatile player hasn’t exactly set the world alight at Arsenal, then those critics are only getting louder and louder, with Havertz posting the following message via Instagram on Wednesday.

“Good end to a difficult week for the team,” said Havertz. “Back to London for a big month ahead with @arsenal!”

Champions League football will return to Arsenal this month and it’s going to be interesting to see how Arteta’s players fair in the competition, as well as how they balance it out with Premier League games.
Of course, Havertz has a Champions League winners medal to his name, so could that competition spark his career in north London into life?
There’s no doubt that the Arsenal fans will continue to be patient with him, but sooner than later, he has to start showing something, or else, the heat will really be on him.
