Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that, with Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte, it’s ‘difficult’ to plan long-term, in regards to his future.
The Italian football expert mentioned Conte’s current contract at Spurs ending at the end of the season and how his long-term future depends on how ‘what Tottenham want to build’.
One thing is for sure, Conte can’t argue about the backing he has got during the 2022 summer transfer window because £100 million+ was spent on players, both experienced and those for the future.

From bringing in the Croatian star Ivan Perisic on a free transfer to breaking the club’s record transfer on the fan favourite Richarlison from Everton – a player who initially joined as a back-up.
That’s backing the manager, but with Conte, he will probably want more when the window re-opens in January as well as next summer.
Nonetheless, when Di Marzio was asked about Conte and his long-term future, this is what he had to say, as he told Sky Sports News (12/08/22 at 8:40 pm).
“With Antonio Conte, it’s difficult to plan long-term,” said Di Marzio. “It’s because he always wants to win.
“If the club will follow him, I think in the summer, they follow him. Not only buying young players, but also Perisic. If they follow him, then I think he can stay.
“But even when he arrived in Inter, after two years, he said ‘no, I can’t stay anymore’. It’s difficult because Antonio’s character is so, I don’t know how to say it in English, but he always wants to win.
“If it happens, a little situation when he feels that he can’t win with Tottenham, then he says ‘no (shakes your hand)’. And the contract is ending at the end of the season, no?! It also depends on what Tottenham want to build in the future.”

CONTE AND KANE’S CONTRACTS
That’s the big one for Spurs fans, amongst all the deals concluded this summer, from Richarlison to Yves Bissouma, the above two extending their stay.
Harry Kane’s current deal expires in 2024 – and after well-documented talk about his future last summer – there was no noise this window about him leaving.
But fans will want to see two of their most important figures, for the long-term and if they want to win trophies, sign new deals.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s like a domino effect and one follows the other in putting their signature down.
