Jamie Carragher joked with Thierry Henry that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane can play for whichever team he wants ‘except for Arsenal’, as they told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (15/03/23 at 10:15 pm).
The discussion was regarding Kane’s future and how his qualities allow him to ‘adapt’ to any system in world football before Carragher threw in the comment about Arsenal.
The Highbury legend’s response to that comment was ‘that’s a different one’, with Kane set to make a big call on his future in the summer.

Given that the 29-year-old is Tottenham through and through, it’s obvious that he won’t be heading to the other side of north London.
But if Kane does leave Spurs, would he still be open and willing to join a team like Chelsea, who are still big bitter rivals of those at Hotspur Way? There are suggestions that Chelsea are keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Nonetheless, this was Henry and Carragher’s comments regarding Kane last night, after the Champions League last-16 ties were concluded.
“Kane can play anywhere, by the way,” said Henry. “He can adapt to a lot of teams.”
To which Jaime Carragher responded, “Except Arsenal.” and Henry added: “Yeah, that’s a different one.”

HARRY KANE’S FUTURE
The 29-year-old is at a crossroads in his career and the argument could be made that so are Tottenham as a club.
It’s probably not easy watching Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal sitting at the top of the Premier League table, but things could become worse if they end up becoming champions.
But, for Spurs themselves, it’s all about securing Champions League football and making sure their star striker stays on board beyond the summer.
